The body of the cardigan is knitted flat from the bottom up in reverse stockinette stitch. The sleeves are knitted in the round from a provisional cast-on, top-down. Short rows are worked at the back of the neck for a better fit. The edges of the neckline, button bands, armholes, and bottom hem are finished with an applied I-cord edge as you go. The floral pattern on the bottom edge is knitted with elongated stitches.
