3.5 mm Magic Loop needle, 80 cm
1 cable needle
2 stitch markers
tapestry needle for weaving in ends
3.5 mm crochet hook

GAUGE: 23 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles

YARN:
Main color: DK weight wool or alpaca yarn
Contrast color 1: for pussy willows: Fingering weight fuzzy yarn held double
Contrast color 2: for stems: Fingering, Sport, or DK weight scrap yarn

Recommended: John Arbon Knit by Numbers and Gedifra Laura, or Cascade 220 and Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk

YARDAGE:
MC – 70 (80) g of recommended yarn or at least 175 (200) m of other DK weight yarn
CC – 10 (10) g of recommended fuzzy yarn or at least 70 (70) m of other fuzzy yarn
CC2 – approx. 7 m of Fingering, Sport, or DK weight scrap yarn for the pussy willow stems

The pattern uses twisted cables for the Pussy Willow design on the back of the hand and a dotted stripe pattern on the palm.
The rounds are worked in stranded colorwork using two colors. There are only nine colorwork rounds in total per mitten.
Otherwise, the mittens are knitted with the main color. The pussy willow stems are crocheted with chain stitches afterward.
If you find crocheting challenging, you can leave the stems out.
