The skirt is knitted top-down. Elastic is threaded into the waistband.
The elastic casing begins with a provisional cast-on and is closed using the Three-Needle Bind-Off technique.
Stitches are bound off at the end of each tier.
The next tier begins by picking up stitches from the bound-off edge of the previous tier and making the necessary increases.
The hem features a lace pattern of butterflies and polka dots.
The bottom edge is finished either by grafting or by sewing a folded hem.
