In this Lakeside House project, the terrace unfolds as you step outside, like a second living room under the sky. A seamless extension of the interior, where the rush slows down and small details make moments meaningful.
The terrace, built on a rock, required meticulous planning to create a cohesive and functional whole. The solution was a multi-level structure where stairs and planting areas rhythmically define the space and guide visitors. Each area serves its own purpose: dining, relaxation, togetherness.
The white facade, black window frames, and pergola elements add structure, while blooming benches and evergreen shrubs soften the overall look. This creates a contrast that makes the yard interesting year-round.
“Let nature complete the plan – plantings, colors, and seasonal changes will always make your terrace look new.”
3 Tips
- Create different rooms or functional areas according to their purpose, and extend the same color palette from indoors to outdoors to maintain a harmonious whole.
- Let nature complete the plan – create beautiful, visual views with plantings, colors, and materials, so that the changing seasons always give your terrace a fresh look.
- Illuminate the terrace and garden with various light sources. This creates a unique ambiance even in the evening lighting.
